The brief was to design a permanent Writers' Centre and retreat for Adelaide Writers' Week, to be used during the annual festival as well as for other events throughout the year. The design was inspired by Sally Hepworth's novel The Good Sister, drawing on the complex relationships between the characters in the story to inform the spatial layout and atmosphere of the space.
