As one of the first projects in our degree, LOCAL was designed to nurture creativity in our architectural concepts. The brief asked us to create two adjacent spaces inspired by a plant species. I chose the red-banded greenhood, a plant that holds nostalgic significance and many family memories for me. The first space was conceived as a conversation area for family members, while the second served as a private study and observation room. The two spaces were connected by a tunnel that gradually unfolds as one moves through it, fostering interaction with the structure and creating a conceptual barrier between the public and private.
